Talking Portraits – art that talks! Join us to make your own portrait art with a recordable voice to attach. Ever wondered what your art would say if it were alive? Now’s your chance to see.

We are making a very special gallery full of talking portraits, so come and join us to make yours. Draw or collage a very special portrait of you, then record your own sounds to hear it talk. Will your portrait be funny or serious? Will it look like it’s from the past or today? What noises will your portrait make? Perhaps yours will laugh, talk or even make a spooky noise to scare people!

Entertaining family fun to share this summer, make art to take away or add to our talking picture gallery.

Family fun for children of all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult. This activity is free, just drop-in between 11.30am and 1pm or 2pm and 3.30pm.

If you would like to visit the Hall to see the accompanying exhibition general admission fees apply and last admission is at 3pm. You can book your admission ticket online, or pay on the day. If you are a Birmingham Museums Trust member entrance to the Hall will be free.

Our Tea Room and Gift Shop will be open from 11am until 4pm.
