Liesl Hasenfuss and Ray Conner will guide participants through an experience aimed at releasing and lengthening the often tense and shortened muscles of the shoulders, neck, scalp and face. These tight structures can lead to neck and shoulder pain, tension headaches, and jaw dysfunction. We will explore muscle release with Yoga Tune Up balls TM, self massage, as well as yoga asana and restorative postures.
At the beginning of the workshop we will take time to explore the anatomy and involved muscles of the region. We will discuss habitual patterns of holding in the neck and shoulders and examine postural issues that can create chronic tension. We will bring awareness to ways to improve postural alignment and breathing patterns to improve the health of this region.
