The BYC twenty-sixth annual spring concert will feature singers in three levels of choirs, Training Chorus, Chorale, and MasterSingers. Prize-winning cellist, Daniel Bishop, a ninth grade student at the Exeter Township School District, will share the stage with BYC friends – and his mother, Mary Bishop, a BYC accompanist.
Centerpieces of the concert include the MasterSingers performing the stirring Samuel Adler setting of “Kol Nidre,” and the poignant Paul Langford setting of “Goin' Home,” with Bishop accompanying during both pieces.
The MasterSingers girls will also perform Gabriel Fauré’s exquisite Messe Basse (Low Mass). The Chorale will perform “Let Beauty Awake” by Ralph Vaughan Williams, “Why We Sing” by Greg Gilpin, and “Toucans Two” by David L. Brunner.
