You are invited to experience a tasting of Champagne Lanson’s most exclusive range of champagnes – never before featured in South Africa and hosted by Emmanuel Gantet from Champagne Lanson.

Champagne Lanson has been making Grande Marque Champagne since 1760, using both traditional techniques and grapes mainly from a selection of the best grands and premiers crus villages. The House is well known amongst champagne lovers for its distinctly fresh, mouth-watering style and exceptional purity.

A champagne worthy for royalty, Queen Victoria awarded Lanson its Royal warrant in 1900 making them one of the first official champagne suppliers to the Royal Household. In 2004, Lanson became the Champagne of HSH the Sovereign Prince of Monte-Carlo. Champagne Lanson is amongst the top 8 champagne brands in the world and top 2 in the United Kingdom. It has also been official supplier to Wimbledon, the world’s favourite tennis tournament, since 2001 and has supplied the championship since 1977.

The House of Lanson is one of a select few Houses to possess an impressive collection of fine vintage champagnes. Each coveted bottle has been carefully crafted by its exceptionally talented chef de Cave, Hervé Dantan, the mastermind behind Lanson’s extensive range and the reason why we are able to have such a tantalising line-up of wine.

A highlight of the tasting will be the rare duo of Gold label 1988 and 1996 and the Clos Lanson. The maiden vintage of the Clos Lanson was launched last year in 2017, only 8,000 bottles of this blanc de blancs were produced, from a single walled vineyard of Chardonnay in the heart of Reims.

We are inviting you to attend this exclusive events, with our gastronomic partner Aubergine restaurant, to taste the following eight champagnes paired with four courses for a cost of R2,200.
