Facets of Fascia: What is it and how it works with the Pilates System
This course takes a look at how fascia works within the body, and how we can be better tuned in to it. You will learn a basic biological understanding of this amazing system, as well as understanding of tensegrity and how the body is a load distributing system. As well, we will see how it is a communication system, and learn ways to train our fascial system. Using different apparatus and the mat exercises, we will experience the different trainable qualities of Pilates, and learn how a fascial focus can bring more ease of movement, improve alignment, facilitate body awareness and improve overall health and fitness.
