Ses Salmond has been in practice as a herbalist, naturopath and homoeopath for 26 years. She works at Leichhardt Womens’ Community Health Centre, Liverpool Womens’ Health Centre and in private practice at the Arkana Therapy Centre in Glebe, NSW.
Ses was awarded her PhD from the School of Medicine and Public Health at the University of Newcastle in October 2013. Her PhD research was the Hep573 Study, a randomised, double-blind placebo-controlled clinical trial of silymarin alone and silymarin combined with antioxidants in the treatment of chronic hepatitis C.
She has lectured nationally and internationally on the Hep573 Study and was awarded the Douglas Piper Young Investigator Award in Clinical Sciences by the Gastroenterological Society of Australia in 2010. She has been published widely in medical and naturopathic textbooks.
