Doors at 8, show at 830, $8
Connor James, frontman for the Halifax-based alternative pop-rock trio June Body, returns to his hometown as part of a short solo tour. Accompanied by Montreal-based songwriter and musician Raf Finn(dude's from Ottawa too), shows will consist of separate performances showcasing both artists’ varied styles and compositions.
Connor James is likely to be associated with 90s emo-alternative acts; solo, his style evokes at once an urgency in instrumentation and melancholy through vocal performance. Haligonians know him for his band, June Body; Ontarians may recognize his more jubilant solo performance, granted they’ve spent some time amongst the scattered venues of yore.
Raf Finn has been releasing and performing on various albums independently over the years. Solo, he can be recognized for his soaring vocals and intricate guitar work. Through Match Factory Collective, a growing Canadian creative arts organization, he has just followed up with his most recent solo effort, "Softest".
