A Travel Writing Workshop for Young Adults by April Yap
May 9 and 16 | 9am to 12nn
13-19 years old
Tell your travel story on social media. A workshop for young adults.
Tales of travel have captured the imaginations of people around the world, from ancient to modern times. Now, travel writing has become a craft that many practice, but few excel in. The fact is, some tales are told better than others. Fortunately, travel writing is a skill that can be learned by anyone determined to succeed.
April Yap used to teach creative writing at UP Diliman. She is currently Consumer Insights Director of Carat Philippines. She has two books – Stressed in the City and Ohmygosh! The Unbearable Lightness of Being Burgis. An avid traveler who wishes she could do it more, April contributes for publications like Side Trip and Kristn.com. She maintains a food/travel blog with her partner Camille.
The participants are required to bring or submit a draft travel piece 300 words on the first day of the session.
