Help rural and impoverished women from India improve their own lives and the lives of their families…by shopping for a cause!
Join Balanced Life Yoga CEO and female empowerment advocate, Shasta Townsend for a night of shopping, sisterhood and fun!
Shasta has sourced a large collection of home fashions, women’s wear and unique craft items from a rural woman’s collective in Rathambore, India.
Women’s craft collectives are a powerful means for impoverished women to create their own source of revenue, independence and support.
In many cases women’s collective provide the revenue for a woman to leave an abusive marriage, send her kids to school and provide a better life for her entire family.
These women have the opportunity to become an entrepreneur and share their talents, crafts and skills in a powerful way and we, in Canada, get the benefit of owning beautiful and unique handmade goods as well as the peace of mind of knowing we made a difference in a sister’s life.
When we support women’s craft collectives we help a woman step into her potential and power.
So join Shasta and other heart-focused women for a night of sisterhood, shopping and support.
Shasta will also share interesting facts about how to choose fabrics, identify real pashmina wool and share inspiring stories about the lives of women in rural India.
Unique items will be available for purchase this night only.
** No Bliss pass discount on these items.**
