As part of the 2018 Spring Puppet Forum Series, the Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry at the University of Connecticut will present a discussion with Paul Spirtio, Helder Mira, and Sarah Nolen on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 7 p.m. in the Ballard Institute Theater, located at 1 Royce Circle in Storrs Center.

Director, puppeteer, and Puppet Arts technical supervisor Paul Spirito discusses the process and dynamics of his new puppet film Ancestral, which was shot entirely on UConn's Depot Campus. The film tells the tale of an eccentric inventor, living in the shadow of his fathers failures, overcoming the doubts of his community and reconnecting his culture with its past. It was brought to life by Paul Spirito, Helder Mira, and students of the UConn Puppet Arts Program.
