Welcome to this special school holiday workshop!
Conservation • Awareness • Creativity
Emma French from Calm Kids Calm Parents and Margot Hislop from Mango SEA Science Education Art have put together a 2 hour program that aims to connect your child with our beautiful environment here on the coast.
This fun and interactive workshop will include numerous awareness activities such as:
• learning about their environment and sustainability
• connecting with their surroundings
• mindfulness and relaxation
• drawing and creativity
• creating a mandala from our artwork and nature
This particular workshop will focus on marine life and our beautiful coastline.
We will be using different creative arts to engage kids to learn more about our wonderful environment as well as learning about sustainability while keeping it light, fun and fascinating. We will also practice mindfulness and do a short guided meditation to connect kids with our beautiful world.
The kids all take home their artwork and a work sheet with notes.

Location: Bamboo Buddha
Please note, these workshops are for kids only and are supervised by 2 adult facilitators.
Parents are welcome to enjoy lunch at the tranquil setting of Bamboo Buddha cafe while they wait.

About the facilitators:
Emma French from Embrace Healing Events and Calm Kids Calm Parents has been an art director / designer for 20 years. Emma is also a talented event, workshop and retreat facilitator. As an experienced transpersonal counsellor, art therapist and healer, Emma has successfully assisted people from all walks of life, to reach a sense of peace and balance through meditation, art therapy and mindfulness techniques for over 15 years. Emma's intuitive approach brings a gentle, calm and creative energy to her workshops and retreats, for adults and kids.
Margot Hislop from Mango SEA Science Education Art has a background in art (graphic design), marine biology and environmental education. Margot combines all these skills and years of experience to create ocean-related artwork, hold art-science classes, run rockpool walks down by the seaside, create education projects and resources with the aim of making learning about the ocean interesting and fun!
