BSI/QBA - Barista School Ireland/Qualified Barista Award
This is our most comprehensive course.

Total novice to someone already working in specialty coffee or who has a desire to work in specialty coffee, who employs supervisors, baristas or just has an interest in coffee. You will learn right from the beginning what it takes to become a professional barista. We will give you the tools and support you need to keep progressing forward.

You will learn about the origins of coffee, milk suppliers, milks, espresso machine equipment, troubleshooting bad milk, beverages recipes used by specialty coffee shops, competitions and opportunities available today. After your course, you will have a brand new outlook on the craft and will be able to wow your customers with your knowledge and skills.
This is often the slight margin between a good barista and a great one.

Each module has been carefully designed to give you an edge over your competitors within the specialty coffee industry. We are constantly reviewing and updating the course content so you can enter the course completely assured that you will be taught the newest and most in demand tricks of the trade.

WHAT SET'S THIS COURSE APART FROM OTHERS?

What really sets this course apart from others is the Work Experience in a busy specialty coffee shop. The work experience will take place in 1 of 2 possible coffee shops, these are specialty coffee shops that’s main focus and product is coffee. All staff members in both shops will have been trained in full by BSI – Barista School Ireland trainers.

Once you are a BSI qualified barista the opportunities are endless. We have a dedicated list of trade partners that we recommend our qualified baristas to them for any open barista positions they have.
