Vernon Barnard‘s unbelievable talent, combined with emotional and motivational story-telling through song is his unique way of communicating the pictures he sees through his heart – painted with emotion. His big breakthrough came in the form of MNet’s The Voice SA competition. At his first audition he sang One Direction’s “Story of my life” and brought the judges to tears. The youtube video of the audition went viral and after 8 months received in excess of 10 000 000 views. After making it to the final round of The Voice SA, Vernon was signed with Universal Music and recorded his debut single called “I Like It That Way”. It was released 2nd September 2016 it was played regularly on local radio stations and reached the Top 10 on various stations. Reaching the number 1 spot on the Jacaranda SA Top 20 was a huge milestone. Singing the SA Anthem at the opening ceremony of the SA vs Ireland rugby test at Ellis park in June 2016 was, to quote Vernon: “one of the greatest moments of my life”. Abel Knobel is a young and versatile performer - born and raised in Bethlehem in the Free State - has been performing for as long as he can remember. Be it in the art of music, acting or dancing, his passion and experience as a stage performer is what he believes sets him apart from the rest. After the great success of being a member of the well known boyband NRG, also known as "Energie" he auditioned for the first season of The Voice SA in 2015 and secured a spot on Coach Bobby van Jaarsveld ’s team. Abel progressed to the Battle Rounds (top 55) where fellow #TeamBobby contestant, Vernon Barnard got chosen to advance in the competition. 2016 marked the year of his first overseas contract. For 6 months Abel performed in the hotels of Spain (as part of the group, Magnifico) where he sang and danced 6 nights a week. Lume, the golden girl, with incredible love songs to showcase.
