During Holy Week, the church remembers the last days of Jesus. Maundy is from the Latin word meaning commandment. On Thursday, Jesus gathered with his disciples for the Passover meal, commanding them, and us, to love one another as he has loved them. Soon the disciples would discover how great that love was as Jesus was arrested and crucified.
Maundy Thursday worship is our way of remembering and living in Christ's love while preparing us to celebrate his resurrection on Easter Sunday. We will share Communion, song and word, washing hands as a symbol of being cleansed by Christ, all amid the beauty of the ever-darkening sanctuary
Everyone is invited to join us for Maundy Thursday and for Easter morning or any other time.
