Holy Yoga is the intentional practice of connecting our entire being, body, mind and spirit with God: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. With complete reliance on God’s Word and prayer, Holy Yoga invites us to surrender and introduces us to Grace. When we breathe and move and have our being in Christ, we find ourselves in the flow of His magnificence. Yoga is a spiritual discipline, much like prayer, fasting and meditation. Yoga has the capacity to enhance our personal beliefs and faith.
We practice with our minds set on whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent or praiseworthy (Phil 4:8), not with our minds emptied. We meditate on the wisdom of God’s Word (Psalm 119:9-16, 26-27), not on man’s wisdom. We seek the transcendence and glory of God, not our own.
The class style is a yoga mix as we create a space for the Spirit to move through our worship practice.
For over 10 years she ignored the call to become a yoga instructor for fear of never being qualified. Entertaining negative thoughts, "I'm not good enough, it's too expensive, I'm not fit enough to be inspirational"
But God doesn't call us to be qualified, he calls us to be OBEDIENT! So obedient she FINALLY was and she found joy in her purpose.
This is My command: be strong and courageous. Never be afraid or discouraged because I am your God, the Eternal One, and I will remain with you wherever you go.
Her practice was a slow evolution but after having her daughter in 2014 and being wrecked by “Mom Life” she found peace in Yoga. Attending class after class to enjoy some Mommy Time she found an intimacy with the Lord she never knew before. Her mentor opened her mind to focus on more than just completing each pose but stretching and strengthening her Spirit, Soul & Body; becoming intentional and patient as the Lord slowly perfects Himself in you. Not only could she settle her mind but returned to her family recharged and refreshed from meeting and meditating with the Lord gave her the strength to enjoy every season.
Finally fearfully saying "Yes!" to become an instructor in 2016 knowing that He is the only one that will qualify her she was all in. Since then she has completed her 500 hour Masters in yoga along with additional training in touch and trauma sensitivity. With a growing confidence Her prayer for teaching is that you too will encounter the Lord and worship Him with your whole being, quieting everything that vies for your attention so you can better hear Him.
