The Heaphy waking track in the Kahurangi National Park traverses an exceptionally diverse section of our unique native landscape.
From climbing into windswept tops blanketed by tussock downs, to gliding through pristine forests of Nīkau, this ever-changing track has much to offer.
When Pauline Bellamy tramped the Heaphy last spring, at every opportunity she stopped to sketch, paint and respond to the striking drama of each environment.
Over the course of the following months, Bellamy has worked to resolve these sketches and impressions into an exceptional new body of painting and etching.
You can see a PDF catalogue of the artwork included in the exhibition on the homepage of our website www.bellamysgallery.com
