A Presentation and Discussion led by Rev. Mike Clark

Rev. Mike Clark served as the media liaison for the King family during the trial in Memphis. He will share reflections on the circumstances of MLK's death and the continuing importance of his message and witness for our nation and the world.

In the years following Dr. King's assassination (which took place 50 years ago this month), his family came to doubt that James Earl Ray killed him alone and unaided. In November 1999 Dr. King's widow and children brought a wrongful death action against Loyd Jowers, accusing him of participating in a conspiracy with others to assassinate Dr. King. After five weeks of testimony from 70 witnesses, the jury found for the plaintiffs in this historic case.

Childcare will be provided.
