Back by popular demand! Do you love science fiction and fantasy -- but not the tired old tropes, about "damsels in distress" and "savage dark-skinned aliens"? Are you ready for a story in which your favorite characters roll up their sleeves and smash the system, like you know they want to? Stop waiting and (re-)write it yourself!

Bring your imaginations and your pens to this deeply interactive storytelling workshop, in which we'll tear apart our favorite guilty-pleasure far-off worlds; we'll keep what works and rebuild the rest, focusing on how race, gender and inequality are portrayed. And, in the process, we'll use our stories to re-imagine the narrative in our own neighborhoods. Led by racial equity trainers and working artists Tammy Johnson and Channing Kennedy of Art/Work Practice, LLC.
