Stephanie has worked hard these last 10 years to overcome obstacles such as an interracial teen pregnancy, domestic violence, drug addiction, date-rape, a suicide attempt and even cyber bullying from a viral video. Steph had her first child at 18 and then began college at 21. Graduating 7 years later with 2 degrees, Steph had a nervous breakdown when her 13 year relationship ended. Not knowing who she was anymore, she became depressed and anxious leading her to swallow pills in an attempt to escape what her life had become. She felt like a failure as a mother, daughter and girlfriend. She left home for the first time at 28 with nothing but her car, a couple thousand dollars and "a friend" she was hoping to rehabilitate. She met important people along the way who helped set her on the path to the next phase of her journey, leading her to experiences necessary for her growth.
After one year away she headed home a new person. Off of all medication and drugs and no longer depressed, she had discovered her authentic self by committing to honesty no matter how hard it was, staying true to herself and her beliefs at all times, and forgiving herself for her past mistakes. Steph has always been an avid reader. Self Help/New Age books have helped her achieve a state of mind which now allows her to set goals and smash them quickly. Her favorite authors are Deepak Chopra and Wayne Dyer. She loves The Celestine Prophecy, The Four Agreements, The Alchemist , The Law of Attraction and So many more. She is currently in a healthy, committed relationship and has another son who is now 7. A teacher at heart but a DJ by profession, Stephanie is now reaching out to tell her story in an effort to help anyone, in any way she can.
