After a very successful camp last summer, we are coming back this summer with an additional offering...yoga!
Mindful Parenting PDX is teaming up with Nourished Roots and Leah Marshall Yoga to offer a 1 week session of Mindfulness, Cooking classes, and Yoga! Mindfulness & meditation will be led by Sheri Louis of Mindful Parenting PDX and Teri Sprouse of Nourished Roots will teach campers about mindful eating while having campers prepare and cook their own snacks. Leah Marshall will teach children yoga to help them feel relaxed and centered.

Children will learn and practice socially acceptable behavior in order to improve their relationships with family members, teachers, and friends. We willI incorporate strategies for emotional regulation, deep breathing techniques, movement intended to invigorate and calm the body, and activities that will nourish the soul and body.

Kids will continue to practice social skills while engaging in hands on cooking activities sure to get your child excited about making and trying new foods. Each day, we will make our own snacks and explore cooking with nutrient dense foods. Children will also have the opportunity to practice yoga flows with Leah Marshall. Leah teaches at a few different yoga studios in Portland and is an incredible teacher!
This camp is for kids aged 5-12.
