Fancy something new? The Wales Time Challenge is a totally new concept in foot racing. On the 8th of June 2018 the first WTC starts in Betws-Y-Coed. Run, walk, stay on the flat, go up a mountain, its up to you.
The Wales Time Challenge is a unique points based foot race. Its all about how many points you can accumulate in the time you have. You get points for distance and points for how far up hills and mountains you go. If you don't get back to the finish in the time you have you will start to lose your hard earned points.
There's no set route, you can go on any paths you like, where you go and what you do is up to you. If you think you'd collect more points spending you time climbing a mountain or running on the flat, do that. Its up to you! Have a look at our website for a full description
You can enter solo or in a team of 2 or 4. If you enter as a team you can either all run together or split up, whichever you think will bring more points. If you like you can run with your dog, but we ask the dog is kept on a lead at all times
Every competitor is given a GPS tracker so we can see where you are at all times during the race and your family and friends can watch your progress online.
You score points for distance and how much you go up hills or mountains. You score 1 point for every 500 metres you cover and 1 point for every 50 metres you go up. It's up to you what's the best tactic to score the most points.
Take part in the first ever WTC!
