Women’s Gathering & Guided Meditation
Sunday, November 5th at 8pm

Rhiannon has been hosting women’s gatherings at her home for several years. Having received positive feedback and a call to continue her offerings, she decided to extend the invitation by hosting a one-time gathering that is open to all women. Rhiannon creates a safe, open, and compassionate space in which women have the opportunity to commune, share, and nourish their capacity for self-healing.
The gathering will begin with light breath-work and movement in order to clear energy, ground the body, and open the heart. Rhiannon will lead a guided meditation that focuses and calms the mind, bringing the receiver into present moment awareness. From this light and heart-centered place we will commune. There will be a group share and a partner share and every activity is optional. Participants are encouraged to take care of themselves always and in all ways. The goal is to go deep and do this work together so that we can tap into the healing power of human connection and interdependency. Through this experience we will strengthen trust in our selves and one another. Rhiannon will lead a second meditation to integrate and close the communion. Possible side effects include laughing, crying, releasing, and growing. So come with an open mind, an available heart, and the willingness to co-create a fun, raw, and secure container for sharing and healing.
It is recommended that you bring the following items with you: yoga mat, bolster or pillow to sit on, blanket, journal, pen, and water. The Bhakti Yoga Shala has a limited number of yoga mats and bolsters should you wish to borrow these items at no cost.
Rhiannon was born and raised in Vancouver, BC, Canada and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her music career in 2011. Since then she has been traveling the world performing while simultaneously deepening her spiritual awareness by studying at an entheogenic healing center called Sinchi Runa. She completed a series of intense processes there including several 10, 14, and 19-day “spiritual diets” in isolation in the jungle. These processes gave Rhiannon the opportunity to dive into her heart, heal ego-based suffering, connect with a higher consciousness, and cultivate love and compassion for her fellow human beings. This is the practice and energy of Sinchi Runa that Rhiannon brings to her gatherings.
Rhiannon was a volunteer counselor and translator at a women’s center called Journey Out for for two years until recently when she enrolled in full-time music production school. She has been practicing yoga at The Bhakti Yoga Shala for many years and completed the 50-Hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training Program led by Govind Das in 2017 which included meditation and breath work techniques. She completed the Transcendental Meditation ® course under personalized instruction in 2010 and has been practicing TM ever since. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from The University of British Columbia and a membership to The Golden Key International Honour Society. She would like to get her Masters in Psychology at Antioch University and become a Licensed Therapist one day. Some of Rhiannon’s favorite authors/thinkers/humans include Krishnamurti, Ram Das, Zoë Kors, Miguel Ruíz, Alan Watts, Dawn Cartwright, Neale Donald Walsch, and Doreen Virtue, amongst others.
