The More The Merrior: An Oyster Shuck

Join us on April 21 from 3 to 10 p.m. for The More the Merrior, a spring oyster festival hosted by Big Bear Café, with food served up by your homies at Keepwell Vinegar, Burnt Coat Pop Up, and haenyo. Like oysters, we all will need to stay hydrated so there’ll be beer, wine and cocktails aplenty and crisp PA cider pressed by the best at Ploughman Cider. And starting at 6 p.m., the smooth twang Chuck Darwin and the Knuckledraggers will take this to thing NEXT LEVEL.

A ticket gets you a wristband. And with that wristband, you can eat to your heart’s content. Grilled, raw and fried Chesapeake oysters, oyster stew, Meats and Foods sausage and homemade kraut, grilled local veggies, catfish dip, Korean BBQ, banchan and more for $50. Drinks will be mixed by the stellar crew at Cotton & Reed.

Got kiddos under 10 at home? Even better. They’ll get in free before 4 p.m. because they’re adorable. We’ll even have face painters and balloon animals from 3-5 p.m.
