Discover the joy of cycling on gentle weekly bike rides for women, off-road, in beautiful places

Cycling is a great way to get your body moving, to burn calories and to improve your physical fitness. It also gets you outdoors into the fresh air, where there are fabulous views to nourish you.

Whether we do it or not, we all know that getting our bodies moving is good for us. Now research also shows that being out in nature benefits our minds and souls as well as our bodies. It makes us feel more alive, healthier, well.

It’s never too late! However long it’s been since you last rode a bike, it’s never too late to get back in the saddle. And you’re never too old!

These rides are designed as a gentle, social reintroduction to cycling. They take place at Haldon forest, so there’s no need to worry about traffic. There’s a café on site if you fancy a coffee or tea after the ride.

These weekly rides are for women who like the idea of going for a bike ride, but don’t know where to start. They are a great way to (re)learn a new skill, make friends, build your confidence on a bike, discover new places, and move on to more adventurous cycling (if that’s what you want).

Your leader is Cathy Debenham, a British Cycling Mountain Bike Leader, qualified in outdoor first aid.

Pay weekly: £10
Five week block (valid over 7 weeks): £45
Ten week block (valid over 12 weeks): £80

This price does not include bike hire, which is available from Forest Cycle Hire up at Haldon Forest.
