Shabbos April 14th, BCMH will be hosting an incredible shabbos weekend with world renown speaker Rabbi Dovid Orlofsky. One of the highlights of the weekend will be a Drasha entitled "Why Be Jewish" with free childcare following the Kaplan Bar Mitzvah Kiddush (Approx. 12:30pm). After the Drasha will be a luncheon that is open to the community (Approx. 1:15pm). The drasha is free and open to the community but you must register and pay for the luncheon by Tuesday April 10th. Cost is $75 for a family 5 or more $20 per adult $15 per Tween/Teen and $10 for children. (Children 3 and under are free)

Friday Night 9pm: Oneg for Men with Interactive Q & A Session at the home of Rabbi Tanenbaum

Shabbos Afternoon 6pm: Shiur for Men and Women entitled "Suspending Our Disbelief- my experiences in the Gulf War and the role of the miracles of Israel."


Mincha at 7pm followed by Community Seudah Shlishis: Drasha Topic "Nadav and Avihu: 2 ways to become closer to Hashem"

Rabbi Dovid Orlofsky has been involved in the world of Jewish education and outreach for over 30 years. He grew up in Merrick, Long Island and has studied in Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim and Yeshiva Heichal Hatorah and received smicha from Dayan Kopshitz, the Chief Rabbi of Nevi Tzvi. In 1988 Rabbi Orlofsky moved to Israel where he teaches in various yeshivahs and seminaries in Israel.
