The Black Cat has moved to a new location, 214 Front Street in Owego!
Join the Black Cat Gallery for the First Friday Celebration on April 6, from 6-9, at their new location, positioned next to the Barley Corn and the law office.
First Friday brings art, celebration and the music of Jim Overhiser and Frank Mangini on acoustic guitars, playing a mix of folk, rock and blues. Fabulous music on a Friday night, from 6-9!
The new Black Cat location officially opens on Monday, April 2!
Featured artist of the month is the Black Cat Gallery’s newest member, Mary Mack, from Owego. The beauty in nature inspires Mary’s artwork and she recreates floral images, portraying the strength and splendor of nature so that the moments last a bit longer. The creative process is her favorite, pushing paint around with the spontaneity of watercolors. Mary enjoys the layering down process of the paint that builds up and takes on the image form. Mary translates these floral watercolor paintings to beautiful notecards that convey the images of nature and their shining beauty.
