Duration: 1 day workshop
Saturday 26th May, 10am - 3.30pm
Project: Chopping board
This 1-day session introduces you a range of wood-working tools and equipment, which you can then use to make your own kitchen chopping board.
The first part of the day serves as an introduction to the workshop, providing guidance on the safe use of workshop machinery, such as the chopsaw, bandsaw, pillar drill, disc and bobbin sander.
Following a talk on different types and uses of hardwood, you’ll then be able to select your material from our in-house timber store, and design your very own chopping board. With support and guidance from the tutor, you’ll then use our workshop equipment to make your object – providing you with a beautiful personalised project to take home with you!
