Let's hope we don't have an April snow so this month we can learn about the Chadwick household where cats rule the roost.

Join us on Tuesday, April 10, to hear the story of Kathy’s Rescue Cats. Neither Kathy nor Jim can resist helping homeless, hurt, or abandoned cats. With so many cats, they needed to find homes for their rescues.

To their aid comes Andrea Muscatello along with Brian Currin and four members of Blacksburg HIgh School’s Distributive Education Club. This joint venture between adults and teenagers has worked to everyone’s advantage and provided professional opportunities for students Adia Long, Lucas Keighton, and Stephen Kromin. Don’t miss this positive, uplifting story. You might even decide that you need an adorable feline.

Our April Community Outreach donations are for Micah's Personal Care Program and the Radford-Fairlawn Daily Bread. Micah's Personal Care Program benefits seniors living in two of the apartment complexes at Warm Hearth. Five personal care items most needed are toilet paper, paper towels, laundry detergent (preferably packs/pods as they are easier to separate for distribution), all-purpose cleaner, and dish detergent.

Radford-Fairlawn Daily Bread (RFDB) is a non-profit that serves up to one hundred free meals each weekday to provide hunger relief in the Radford and Fairlawn communities. RFDB needs canned fruit in juice or light syrup to provide a healthy supplement to their meals. They are specifically interested in fruit cocktail, peaches, and pears. Bulk sized cans are best!
