Are you up for getting involved with some traditional renovation techniques? We need your help!
We are toiling away to renovate a 200 year old stables over in Blaise Castle, Bristol, to turn it eventually into a workshop where we can make beehives, work with volunteers, and it be a place for bee education and teaching.
We will be clearing the yard to turn it into the beginnings of the a Bee Garden for hungry pollinators. We'll also be taking down old lime mortar, putting up shelves, sorting out the ceiling, etc. Lots of choice of things to get involved with!
Meet some lovely people, have a fun and productive day, and help the bees! We will bring bits and bobs for a shared lunch, and we tend to eat in the beautiful bee garden next door, so you will be well looked after.
Please join us at Blaise Stables, Blaise Castle, Bristol, BS10 7QS.
Sat and Sun April 14th-15th, 11am - 7pm (these are the times we'll be here - feel free to come when suits you - lunch will be around 1/2 ish)
The best place to park is at the big car park (Free) just along from the bee barn, by the Blaise café.If walking from the park / past Blaise Castle House Museum, the Stable Block will be on your right, within two large wooden gates.
Please wear good foot wear, and if you would like to bring little ones, please make sure there are two adults so that one can keep an eye on the children.
Thank you! And hopefully see you soon.
