Join Elena Papina and Juliana Bonilla for Hike 'N Yoga in beloved Rock Creek Park!
Hiking and Yoga are two incredibly interconnected and mutually supportive practices. As hiking offers a sustainable strengthening cardio option, a yoga practice supports it through building up the body's flexibility, focusing on the breath, and deepening the internal awareness. If that combo sounds good to you, then take a hike and inhale fresh spring air to rejuvenate the body, mind and spirit!
Meeting place and time: the picnic table area near the building of Peirce Mill at about 1:45pm
After picking up the trail from the Peirce Mill and hiking north along the creek, we will stop at a beautiful spot by the water for a Dancing Warrior yoga flow. Settling down among the gorgeous rocks and surrounded by the soothing melody of the creek, we will take a few minutes for a silent meditation. A true famous Russian poppy seed bread will be awaiting for us as we return back.Check a photo gallery from the previous expedition at www.nyoga.fitness.
This is a donation-based class, with all donations going directly to So Others May Eat (SOME). Participants may sign up for the event with a $10 donation, $20 donation, and no donation. Please register in advance so we know how many to expect.
