Join us in celebrating the 40th anniversary of Boeing 727-223, N874AA receiving it's airworthiness certificate on April 12, 1978.
This event is free of charge.
N874AA, is an ex-American Airlines, Boeing 727-223, still in 100% passenger configuration. The airplane served all of it's revenue life with American Airlines, and is being restored to airworthy status by the National Airline History Museum. It is our goal to use this aircraft for STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) education and honor flights in the community.
There will be water, and a snack available free of charge while supply lasts, and served on the plane by our excellent volunteer cabin crew made-up of students from Raisbeck Aviation High.
You will have full access to the plane to take pictures
Volunteers will be available to answer any questions.
The plane's engines and APU will not be operated at these events due to on-going maintenance.
There are no restroom facilities available at the aircraft's parking spot. You will have to walk a few hundred yards to the North and use the facilities in the terminal building.
There are three scheduled viewing sessions on Saturday, April 21, 2018. Each session is 90 minutes in length and are scheduled to start at 10:00am, 12:30pm, and 2:30pm.
