Ayurveda is the oldest, most comprehensive system of medicine known to man and is often referred to as the practical accompaniment (or sister science) to Yoga (the spiritual path). It has been in practice for over 5000 years, with documentation of its roots first discovered in the ancient Sanskrit texts of wisdom, the Vedas. ‘Ayurveda’ can be translated to ‘science of life’ or ‘knowledge of life’, and is based on an understanding of the laws of material nature and how that relates to ourselves.
This one hour workshop is an introduction to Ayurveda. You’ll learn about:
the 20 gunas
the 3 doshas
how to balance each dosha
your personal Prakriti (inherent birth constitution)
your personal Vrkriti (current state of imbalance)
After this workshop you’ll have the basic tools to identify, and balance your dosha.
