May 26 – 27, 2018
Number of athletes Selected
20 (10 male, 10 female)
16+ (Open Competitors)
The objective is to create an opportunity for athletes to practice climbing competition type circuits to prepare for future competitions on the National and International level. Although this course is directed at competition climbers, much of the program can help improve advanced climbing in general. Boulders will be set especially for the course by Tonde and a team of setters and coaches, and they will provide feedback and analysis to help the athletes correct movement and tactics.
Themes covered will include quality warm up, complex movement (volumes, slabs, coordination), doubt, attempts and time management and competition strategy.
As a personal quest and experiment, Tonde and the team will be trying to find and explore new movement ideas. No promises 🙂
The camp will run over 2 days. There are two levels offered to reflect the different levels in official competitions (male/female), but for the purpose of training both genders can climb in whichever group they feel will be most beneficial. A maximum of 10 male and 10 female spots are available.
Lunch will be included for both days.
Bouldering equipment, indoor shoes, athletic clothing.
