Classic Readers group meets monthly on the second Monday of the month at 5:30pm at Stirling Books & Brew. The Classic Readers group reads classic literature each month and meets to discuss their views on the story. Great works of literature touch us to our very core beings--partly because they integrate themes that are understood by readers from a wide range of backgrounds and levels of experience. Themes of love, hate, death, life, and faith touch upon some of our most basic emotional responses. Selections will include Classics identified on goodreads.com at https://www.goodreads.com/genres/classics.

Staci Stuart of Albion is the moderator for this reading group.

This month the group is discussing "1984" by George Orwell. Feel free to join the discussion even if you haven't had a chance to read the selection, or pick it up today at Stirling Books & Brew!

Next meeting will be June 11th, where the group will be discussing the Charles Dickens classic "A Tale of Two Cities".
