Bring your entire family to enjoy the hilarious retelling of the Hans Christian Anderson
Classic, “The Princess and the Pea.” In a small kingdom in medieval times, young Prince Dauntless is looking for a bride. A dozen girls have already been tested and rejected by his exacting and overbearing mother. Queen Aggravain has declared that no one may marry until her son does – and, well . . . no potential princess is ever good enough for “precious” son. To meet this challenge, brave knight, Sir Harry, sets out to find a bride for the prince so that he can marry his love, Lady Larken. After he finds a loveable, but unorthodox, princess and brings her to the castle . . . hilarity ensues. You will be carried away on a wave of beautiful, classic songs, wonderful dance numbers, poignant moments of true love, and hilarious comedic scenes. Our amazing cast of youth will be supported by an experienced technical crew and first-rate, jazz-infused pit band.
This award winning show was the first major Broadway production that launched the career of a young Carol Burnett. Make plans today to enjoy this great show and the wonderful work of our senior high youth. As in past years, their skill and heart will bring these characters alive for you.
