About Secret Hayes (from the publisher's website):
The town of Hayes, located in West London, has a long and intriguing past. The area today is made up of what was originally five separate villages: Botwell, Hayes Town, Hayes End, Wood End, and Yeading. Historically in Middlesex, it became part of the London Borough of Hillingdon in 1965, but has a history that stretches back over a thousand years. Secret Hayes covers a wealth of topics, from its first documented origins in AD 757 to being the home of both EMI and George Orwell. Join author Louise Wyatt, who grew up in the town, as she unearths the area’s deepest secrets.
