Session 7 Lifeguard Certification: Blended learning Class

Train to become a certified American
Red Cross lifeguard and learn valuable
skills including injury prevention, facility
safety, patron surveillance, emergency
preparation, rescue skills, victim assessment,
first aid, CPR/AED and care for
head, neck and spinal injuries.

PREREQUISITE: Participant must be able
to swim 300 yards continuously, complete
a timed retrieval of a 10lb object from a
depth of 7ft., tread water with no hands
for 2 minutes in deep water.
In the event a participant fails to complete the prerequisite
test, he/she may request a refund minus
the non-refundable fee of $50.00. Participants
17 and under MUST be accompanied by
an adult during the prerequisite activities.
Participants must be present for pre-requisite
testing and all four class days.

**This is a Blended Learning course,
participants must complete some
course work online before in water
skills session, and provide certificate
of completion, in addition to attending
in-person classroom sessions.**

Pre-Requisites: Monday April 16th, 2018
Location: Boys Club Pool
(If under 18 a parent or guardian MUST
be present for the prerequisites in case of
an emergency.)

In Water Skills Session: April 26th, 2018 to April 29th, 2018
Location: Boys Club Pool
Thursday and Friday -6pm-8:30pm
Saturday and Sunday 8am-5pm

*Please be on time to all sessions*

Fee: $125.00/ participant
Minimum age 15 years old
(If under 18 a parent or guardian must be present
for the prerequisites in case of an emergency.)
