KBCB Squirrel Glider Community Awareness Day

Get Directions

#var:page_name# cover

Squirrel Gliders are nocturnal native animals that live in our local parks, woodlands and forests. Come along to Bracken Ridge Library from 10am to 12:30pm on Saturday 10th March. Hear about the challenges they face, including the clearing of native flora and the threat from domestic animals and what we have been doing as part of the "Northside Squirrel Glider Monitoring Project". Learn how you can help our small glider friends.

Free event (thanks to Brisbane City Council Lord Mayor's Environment Grant). Presented by KBCB's Rachael Williams (Environmental Scientist) and Stefan Hattingh, Bulimba Creek Catchment Coordinating Committee (Ecologist and volunteer wildlife carer).

Stay around for the morning tea and Geckoes Wildlife display and talk from 11am to 12noon. They will be bringing along a Squirrel Glider and other critters as part of their display!

Bookings through Eventbrite essential.
