Holy Week is quite simply a supreme gift. It is the opportunity in the Christian year to invest time in praying the momentous events that lead up to Easter. For centuries Christians have observed these days almost as a time for a communal retreat. It is a pilgrimage week as we learn the way of Christ through music, silence, listening, reflection, liturgy and action. Why not commit to attending as often as possible, as if you were part of the Gospel story and join others who are seeking to come to Christ, the Way, the Truth and the Life.
This year it is great to have the Revd Canon Andrew Norman to lead us in our meditations during Holy Week. He is taking as his theme Surprising Confidence: Reflections on Jon 13 - 17.
Monday: Knowing where to look
Tuesday: Lives that make a difference
Wednesday: Guarantees and disclaimers
These talks are followed by Choral Compline at 8.00pm with the Cathedral Choir.
