Tiny Tour of Tiny Towns.
In April.
Forget: Paris - New York - Hobart.
We're going for: Bream Creek - Forth - Lamb Island

From folk clubs of Scotland, to punk warehouses of Indonesia. The Dead Maggies have been spreading tales of Van Dieman’s Land’s dark and oppressive history, in the form of lively folk-punk music. Last year they performed in festivals in the UK including Boomtown and Outcider, and featured prominently at Australian festivals including; Fractangular Gathering, Huon Valley Midwinter Fest, Port Fairy Folk Festival and The National Folk Festival. Now it's time to get intimate with the inbred, and get charmed by the towns with the most unique country charm. All three of them.

Sunday 1st
Bream Creek, Tasmania, population 124.
At The Bream Creek Farmers Market, you can grab a feed and a coffee, and haggle over spinach and goats whey with the local growers. There is also live music. The Stragglers and Ruben Reeves will make some noises between 9am and midday, then The Dead Maggies will blow the cobwebs from the nearby barns for an hour, from Midday til 1pm. It's free entry, and all ages. Pssst, Mark might have a housewarming the night before, you should come to that too.

Saturday 7th
Forth, Tasmania, population 774.
Home of the Forth Valley Blues Festival, The Forth Hotel is an institution for NW Tasmanian music lovers, and this will be the first time that The Dead Maggies have ventured in. Supports from The Stragglers and Ruben Reeves Band. Free entry.

Friday 20th
Lamb Island, Queensland, population 432.
There is one place on Lamb island to hang out, it's the Lamb Island Recreation Club. It's possibly the best place to hang out on all of the Southern Morton Bay Islands. Yep, we are up on a tropical island. We've played here twice before, and it's a heap of fun. This time we will bring some other acts too. Ruben Reeves Band and Brisbane's favorite celtic-punk band Fox N Firkin. It's free entry too.

Check out the other acts we are playing with:

We also have some gigs in 'cities' coming up soon, them being Hobart and Brisbane, so keep your eyes out for them.
