Strangled Darlings now calls Vermont home base and tours much of the United States full time playing ~ 150 shows/year. They bring a vivid intensity and a literary gravitas to their live show. Jess Anderly is the band as she finger picks the tenor bass, plays drums with her feet and sings back up harmonies. She frees George Veech to render his mandolin into a snare and a torrent of blue notes. His lyrics are stories drawn from the American pageant. The duo formed in 2009 and has released four studio albums (a fifth is under construction). Their song material varies stylistically from Tom Waits to Taylor Swift with inspiration coming from: folk music, Neil Armstrong and most of the good shows on HBO. The live show is where they shine. They mix good, original songwriting, technical mastery with deadpan humor and a little something to shake your rumpus.
Strangled Darlings returns to Brewfontaine, Sunday May 13!
