Join us for an introduction into the world of craft coffee with Jessica Easto and Andreas Willhoff, authors of the book Craft Coffee: A Manual. This class will provide a brief history of high-end specialty coffee and explore how different stages of the process—growing, processing, roasting, and brewing—affect how your coffee tastes. The class will include tasting one of our single origin coffees brewed four different ways: espresso, filter, French press, and cold brew. Books will be available for purchase and signing.

This is a ticketed event.

Jessica Easto is the author of Craft Coffee: A Manual, a guide to brewing coffee by hand at home. She received a degree in journalism from the University of Tennessee and an MFA in creative writing from Southern Illinois University. She works in the publishing industry, primarily editing cookbooks, and has been brewing craft coffee at home for more than eight years.

Andreas Willhoff has worked in the specialty coffee industry for more than a decade. He has managed coffee shops, directed training programs, participated in SCA competitive events, and more. He consulted on Craft Coffee: A Manual and is currently a technical specialist at Rancilio Group North America, an espresso machine manufacturer.
