This Holiday Club is suitable for ages 8 to 11, where children can stay without their parents. You can book on an individual day for £30 or take advantage of our offer and pay £50 for both days.
Each day will run from 9am to 3pm. The club will take place outdoors but in case of severe weather forecast such as strong winds, we'll relocate to a nearby venue.
Children we'll need to come dressed for outdoors and bring packed lunch in case they don't like the food we cook on a campfire. Drinks we'll be provided. Parents/guardians we'll be required to complete a consent & medical form for each child.
Children will be supervised by qualified and experienced practitioners and first aiders.
Day 1 - Wildcraft Adventure - Thursday - 23/08/18
Survive the Wilderwood, Beat the Monsters, Open the Portal!
In video games like Minecraft and Terraria, players have to survive in a hostile environment, build their own home, hunt for their food, search for resources and fend off wandering monsters.
Sure, your child can survive in the 'wilderness' on the computer screen, but can they do it out in the real woods?
Just like in their favourite video games, players will be collecting experience points for completing a number of challenges throughout the day such as building dens before 'night' falls and the monster wakes up, using fire steel and tools.
Day 2 - Outdoor Survival - Friday - 24/08/18
Put your survival skills to the test in a day packed with a lot of adventurous activities. Forage for food, light fires and cook your own lunch on a campfire. You will learn how to make your own tools, natural cordage and purify water.
There will be plenty of opportunities to follow your own interests using your newly acquired skills.
Places are limited to 12 per day and advance booking is essential.
