In this workshop we will explore some exciting arm balances and inversions and play with more challenging poses and transitions.

Trying new things can be scary – especially while upside down – but we will support each other through a journey to balance and invert in new and exciting ways.

We will look at some simple anatomy and practical tips to strengthen your body and your practice so you feel confident to practice them at home or in class.

Some of the poses we will explore

Bakasana and variations (Bakasana – Crane – straight, Kakasana – Crow – bent)
Loloasana & tolasana (pendulum & scale pose)
Eka pada koundinyasana (flying split)
Eka pada galavasana (flying pigeon)
Astavakrasana (eight angle pose)
Adho mukha vrksasana (handstand)
Pincha mayurasana (elbow stand)
Sirsasana (headstand)

Come explore the world from a new perspective and surprise yourself with some new discoveries.
Flow class taught as part of the workshop.

This workshop is suitable if you can:

Hold bakasana (crow pose) for at least a few seconds while still breathing.
Kick up and hold Adho Mudha Vrksasana (handstand) for a few seconds, again while breathing, either at the wall or freestanding.
