Join us for this interactive evening to share your ideas as we look to grow the RIBA Bristol & Bath branch’s activity and active committee towards a summer relaunch.
1. How can we all ensure the RIBA has a strong voice for its members?
2. What are the big issues that RIBA could address through its members?
3. What events and activities would inspire you to not go straight home from the studio?
4. What could you do?
RIBA Bristol & Bath is a large branch with 1379 RIBA members, including 582 RIBA Chartered Architects, and 755 RIBA Student Members mainly at UWE Bristol and University of Bath.
RIBA branches are the local representative bodies for RIBA members and exist to represent the membership and profession with stakeholders, and to provide business and social connections across the membership, clients and associated professionals.
RIBA branches can be powerful tools of influence, and provide a focal point for events and activity that add value and connections for members. They bring architects and students together for all sorts of reasons – social, professional, educational, fun.
RIBA is currently developing links with Bristol City Council’s planning and urban design team, and a number of social events are taking place such as RIBA Film Nights, RIBA Pub Quiz, and Socials. Though we want to do more, and we need you, your ideas and your commitment to make that happen.
We also have exciting roles available for members wanting to lead and drive RIBA activity.
We will be providing drinks on arrival and pizza later in the evening, so sign up, think about what you want to RIBA to be doing locally, and what you might want to do as part of a great team of architects supported by the regional RIBA team.
