CERT Emergency Dispensing Site Drill

Get Directions

#var:page_name# cover

Each year, we conduct an EDS (Emergency Dispensing Site) set-up test our ability to set-up and dispense medications to affected populations quickly and efficiently in the event of a public health threat. Brockton's CERT and MRC works diligently to build our capacity to dispense antibiotics to all Brockton residents (100,000+ people) within 48 hours. A tremendous task, however, we can accomplish this task with the support of our MRC and BEMA trained volunteers like you.

Volunteers are currently being recruited for our upcoming one day large scale drill on Saturday, May 12th at Brockton High School. As a volunteer, you will receive instructions and will basically show up to the site and assist with setting up the EDS. Some volunteers may be asked to pretend to show signs of a particular illness. Instructions will be provided to various volunteers as to what they will say to staff during this exercise. We have developed a Just in Time Training video and will show you exactly what an EDS is and how to set it up. Past volunteers have indicated that they find these drills to be a wonderful experience.
