Shakespeare Week is coming to Brunel!

Join us for a week of events that delve deeper into the question: Could the man we know as Shakespeare really be responsible for the 37 plays and 154 sonnets universally considered to be among the greatest ever written?

We have a range of guest speakers to help us explore the authorship question while celebrating the very best of the Bard.

Debate schedule:

Monday 23 April: The Bard Debate: did Shakespeare really write the plays? Presented by Prof Alan Nelson and Dr Ross Barber.

Tuesday 24 April: Shakespeare was a fake (…and I can prove it) presented by Alexander Waugh.

Wednesday 25 April: ‘I Am Shakespeare’, presented by Sir Mark Rylance and Friends.

Thursday 26 April: Brexit, Trump and The Bard’s legacy: do Shakespeare’s plays still matter presented by William Leahy and Tom Betteridge.
