The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is attempting to delay their Methane Rule 1-year to buy them time to rewrite and weaken it - with as little public input as possible!
The BLM methane rule will directly protect Durango air quality and taxpayer money. The rule was finalized last year, only after the Obama Administration heard from over 330,000 Americans through mail, email, and multiple in-person meetings with affected communities across the nation over several years.
Even though a vast majority of people supported, and still support, efforts to cut methane pollution, the current BLM is preparing to delay the rule for one year. In the process they aren’t holding ANY public comment hearings and are only accepting online comments for a mere 30 days.
Join us on Monday to protest the delay, show our support for this commonsense rule, and illustrate our frustration with how the Trump Administration is handling the delay and revision process.
Let’s show that those of us under the Four Corners Methane Hotspot refuse to be silenced!
And don't forget to comment!
