Join Steamboat Springs brother and sister, Protect Our Winters Riders Alliance members and U.S. Olympic snowboard competitors Taylor and Arielle Gold for a family-oriented presentation of “Hot Planet, Cool Athletes.”
Taylor and Arielle will co-host a forty-five minute presentation to discuss their first hand experiences with climate change, why they care about the climate and conclude with ways we can all take action that will benefit our community and our world. Following the presentation there will be time for discussion, questions and autographs!
Arielle comes home to Steamboat after her recent 2018 Olympic Winter Games bronze medal win in women’s halfpipe snowboarding. She learned to ski at age 3 at Steamboat Ski Resort with her parents and following in the fearless footsteps of older brother Taylor, also a successful U.S. Snowboarding athlete. Taylor was one of four Americans to complete as part of the 2014 U.S. Olympic men’s halfpipe team in Sochi, Russia, and placed third in men’s snowboard superpipe competition at the 2017 X Games in Aspen.
