As president of the local Junior Achievement office, Mahoney oversees a staff of seven, who manage the organization’s career & work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy programs throughout the eight counties of Western New York. In 2016-2017, JA program reached 13,928, K - 12th grade students, in 673 classrooms and/or community organizations via a network of 621 community volunteers.
Prior non-profit experience includes positions as Vice President of Corporate & Community Relations for the Girl Scouts of Western New York and Director of Development and Alumni Relations for Cardinal O’Hara High School. Mahoney has received her CFRE certification (Certified Fund Raising Executive) and is a member of the Academy of Finance Advisory Board for West Seneca Central Schools, Niagara Frontier Industry & Education Council Board, Buffalo Niagara Sales & Marketing Executives Group, Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus Rotary and Buffalo Niagara Partnership’s Executive Exchange program and Employ Buffalo Niagara initiative. Mahoney is a graduate of the University at Buffalo and a resident of North Tonawanda.
